Meet Eve Sturges, LMFT: Therapist and Writer in Los Angeles
Therapist. Writer. Podcaster. Leader. Weirdo.
Who I am
I worked hard against adversity to create a thriving existence for myself and strive to inspire the same for others. I use my writing and my role as a licensed marriage and family therapist to share my message that it is possible to “create a life you love with the life you have.”
My Work as a Therapist
As a therapist I aim to help my clients overcome their struggles and create a better life for themselves. My private practice, MagpieLife, helps people find inspiration no matter their circumstances. I see clients in Los Angeles and online across California.
My Work as a Writer
My writing is bold, heartfelt, and witty. Not afraid to tackle difficult topics, I regularly receive notes from readers who are touched by my words, teachers who use her stories in their classes, and editors grateful for my fast turnaround. I write about the things I know: parenting, marriage, sex, food, dysfunctional childhood, existential crises, and more.
Beyond the Page as a Podcaster
My podcast, Everything’s Relative, explores the expanding landscape of modern DNA testing. Unexpected DNA results are changing people’s lives, for better or worse, and I want to talk about it.
My Approach
Messy. Meaningful. Never boring. No matter if I’m untangling stories on the page, sitting with clients in Los Angeles, or talking DNA twists on the podcast, I bring the same mix of honesty, humor, and heart. Life doesn’t come with a clean outline, but together we can make sense of it. And maybe even laugh along the way.
